It was a long battle of weight gain, yoyo diets and never being able to keep the weight off. I came from a family history of diabetes, high cholesterol, fried foods and no exercise. I finally made the decision to have the surgery. My overall experience was great! Dr. Darido was very attentive to me. His complete program was wonderful, I had support the whole way through, he has an excellent...
I had interviewed 6 doctors before going to TLC; when you first walk in the office is beautiful and very clean, the staff was beyond kind and helpful. Upon meeting Dr. Scarborough I had a lot of questions which he had no problem answering. He was so friendly and informative that by the end of the consult I felt so at ease, I knew this was going to be my surgeon. My work insurance covered a...
I just wanted to feel better. Ex-Army, avid power lifter, but gut, diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea - ENOUGH. All that is gone now. Feeling great with regimen of yoga and racquetball. But now at 248 lbs, I just feel great. No longer snoring, gut is going down, A1C is lower. It's worth it! I just feel so much more alive and food is not a real priority. Just don't think about it as...
I opted for the gastric sleeve and chose Dr. Hafford after consulting with two other surgeons. I asked her why she chose bariatric to specialize in and she stated that she wanted to watch her patients journey into becoming healthy. She is very personable, honest, and compassionate. Her staff is just as wonderful as she is. Thanks Hafford Bariatrics!
Dr. B did a Sleeve to Bypass Revision on me due to reflux. I had a consult with another Dr first who said that insurance wouldn’t pay for my revision because of my lower BMI. Dr. B and his staff knew exactly what was needed to get insurance approved!! I can’t say enough positive things about him and his staff. 5 months post-op and no reflux!!
Was tired of being fat and out of shape. Steadily gained 20-30 lbs times a year...decided to make a change! I have lost 52lbs to date and am so much happier. The first few weeks were rough though. I underestimated the surgery. But I am feeling good now...am exercising and eating healthy. I've got my whole family involved in being healthy.
I was motivated to have the gastric sleeve done because I was twice the size I was in Highschool , on 4 blood pressure pills and 2 cholesterol pills. My liquid diet start date weight was 425 and my surgery day weight was 400. I am 3 months out from surgery and have lost 126 pounds!! I've gone down 12 inches in my pant waist and from a 5X shirt to a 3X shirt. I'm very happy with the results and...
